<image:caption>HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE DIRK BINKLEY Philadelphia native, Dirk began his lacrosse career as a four-year varsity player at Bishop Egan High School from 1986 to 1989, serving as team captain during his junior and senior seasons. After graduating, he attended West Virginia University, where he played club lacrosse while also competing in the Philadelphia Box Lacrosse League with the Saint Joseph's University Choir Boys. Following college, Dirk returned to his alma mater as head coach of the Conwell-Egan High School boys' lacrosse program. From 1994 through 1999, twenty-three of his players earned Philadelphia Catholic League All-Catholic honors, and one was named the Bucks County Courier Times Player of the Year. During his tenure, Dirk was recognized as both the Philadelphia Inquirer Coach of the Year and the Bucks County Courier Times Coach of the Year. His coaching career also included serving as an assistant coach for the Pennsylvania North/South All-Star Game and coaching in the Saint Joseph's University Summer League. After relocating to California, Dirk joined Dr. Neil Kramer and Gary Greenbaum in coaching at Windward School and with the Los Angeles Lacrosse Team. In 2002, he guided Windward School to the Los Angeles High School Lacrosse Championship. Since becoming a certified US Lacrosse official in 1999, Dirk has officiated youth, high school, collegiate, club, box, and championship-level contests. His officiating résumé includes numerous Los Angeles versus Orange County Division I Championship Games, the inaugural CIF Southern Section Division I Lacrosse Championship in 2021, and additional CIF championship assignments through 2024. At the collegiate level, Dirk has served as a National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association (NILOA) official since 2008 and has officiated NCAA Division II and Division III since 2010. He has been selected annually to officiate the MCLA National Championships, worked numerous Southwestern Lacrosse Conference and Western Collegiate Lacrosse League playoff games, officiated conference championship contests, and earned assignments to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship. He also became the first Southern California official to officiate a professional lacrosse game, and in 2025, he became the first official from Southern California chosen to officiate an NCAA Division II conference championship. Beyond the field, Dirk has devoted himself to advancing the officiating profession. He was a founding member of both the Pacific Coast Lacrosse Officials Association and the Greater Los Angeles Lacrosse Officials Association, served on multiple governing boards, and held leadership positions, including President of the California Lacrosse Officials Association. As a certified trainer, observer, assignor, rules interpreter, and mentor, he has educated and developed countless officials while promoting the values and traditions of the Creator's Game. Dirk has had the honor of serving in numerous leadership roles, including Secretary of the US Lacrosse Los Angeles Chapter, Southern California Rules Interpreter, CIF State Rules Interpreter, and committee member for the National Intercollegiate Lacrosse Officials Association and USA Lacrosse. His leadership during the successful CIF officials' labor action demonstrated his unwavering commitment to advocating for officials while preserving the integrity of the game. Dirk resides in West Los Angeles with his wife Alma Castellanos and their son Ryder Binkley.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE TOM BORGIA Tom grew up in New Rochelle, NY. He came from a basketball family with his dad Sid Borgia being one of the top refs during the first 20 years in the NBA. His younger brother Joe recently retired from the NBA after 40 years as a ref and rules expert. He also was in charge of setting up and running the replay center and was a Senior VP when he retired. Tom played the basic football, basketball and baseball growing up as lacrosse had still not been introduced in New Rochelle. He saw his first lacrosse stick after the 1976 freshman football season at Rutgers. Their quarterback was John Danowski, who told him “we need more football guys to play lacrosse”. Knowing nothing about lacrosse, he gave it a try and loved it. Danowski is now the head lacrosse coach at Duke and for the USA national team. Tom has 2 sons, Mike and Matt and he coached all of their soccer, basketball and baseball teams. In 1993, lacrosse was an unknown in Redondo Beach. Tom was involved in the board of Hermosa Beach Youth Basketball and spent 7 years on the board of Redondo Sunset Baseball, including 2 years as VP, 2 years as treasurer and 3 years as president. Tom has been married to his wife Liz for 41 years. Liz was very involved when he was coaching his sons. She was the official scorer for every baseball and basketball game their sons played. She has been one of Tom’s biggest supporters and encouraged him to coach lacrosse although neither of them thought he would end up coaching lacrosse for 20 years. Tom thought he would never be able to coach his sons again until Redondo Union added lacrosse in 2007. He became the assistant coach for the varsity team, which his son Matt played on for 2 years. After his son graduated, he decided to coach the girls team at Redondo, which had had 3 coaches in 2 seasons and won a total of 6 games. The 2009 season was the start of a dynasty for the girls lacrosse team at Redondo. The girls program won 14 straight Bay League titles, a school record for any sport. In the early days, there was a North Division (Los Angeles area) and a south division, Orange County. There were 11 years with a North division champion and Redondo won 8 of those titles. Redondo was ranked by MaxPreps in the top 12 for the Southern Section from 2010 to 2024. From 2021 to 2024 they were ranked in the top 4. Tom was recruited by his neighbor, Doug Borstel to start reffing boys lacrosse in 2010. He started with the little guys and ended up reffing HS varsity games in a few years. Tom got involved with Leverage club lacrosse and has run their girls program for the last 10 years, the highlight being the box lacrosse program. In 2013 he started the Redondo Youth Lacrosse club for girls. He had one team in 2013 and has had two teams since 2014 with 50 girls playing every year. This program has created a huge opportunity for middle school girls to try a new sport. This has become a big part of Redondo Union’s success as a feeder program. Tom has also had 4 Redondo girls players help coach for these teams every year. Tom was one of the founding members of Pacific Edge Lacrosse Association and was a board member for 10 years. Tom had to step away from being the head coach at Redondo Union for the 2025 season because of an illness. He has bounced back and was the assistant coach for the 2026 season. He has had an amazing record as the head coach for 16 years. His Bay League record is 112 wins, 12 losses. Overall his record is 259 wins and 55 losses. Tom has always felt the wins and titles at Redondo Union were great but he is most proud of introducing middle school girls to a new sport they never heard of. Of the 600 girls who have played for his teams, not too many of the girls would have had an opportunity to make another team at Redondo Union if they did not experience lacrosse in middle school.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE JON FOX Jon Fox attended UC Irvine and learned to play lacrosse under his mentor the legendary Ray Ralph. A 2x team captain and offensive MVP of the 1994 WCLL D2 championship game, Fox has been sharing his love for the game and developing opportunities for players in Orange County ever since. In 1992-1994 Fox was assistant coach at University HS as well as head coach in 1996. After graduation Fox worked in Los Angeles as an assistant cameraman from 1995-2006 while continuing his volunteer work with the youth & high school leagues. After settling in Tustin in 1995 with wife Kristy, some local students found out about his lacrosse love and asked for a team to play on. Thus, the Hewes Middle school lacrosse club started in 1997 with 11 students and became the base for the future Foothill High school program. In 1999 Fox started the Foothill High school lacrosse team. The high school program went on to win four consecutive OCLA HS titles 2001- 2004, and two state championship titles in 2003 and 2004 prior to the move into CIF sanctioning. Following the 2006 sanctioning, Foothill announced their CIF presence with wins over powerhouse SD programs LCC and Torey Pines. Additionally, beginning in 2006 Fox and other local coaches committed to full-time coaching to ensure the proper establishment of the sport at the CIF level. Fox remained an advocate for the sports push into CIF playoff sanctioning in 2021 Fox’s team won four straight sea view league titles before becoming an independent. In 2021 the Knights rejoined the school conference play and remain undefeated in league play ever since. Fox’s Knights are proud to have Nine Orange County championship titles, five coach of the year awards and won Seven CIF-SS finals. Coach Fox is the winningest active high school coach in California. Serving consecutively as a volunteer board member with the US lacrosse OC chapter & Orange County lacrosse association he helped to found many of the local rec programs as well as the early OC travel programs such as the OC Junior World team which played at the international youth festivals in Baltimore 1998 and London 2001 & the first Orange County HS all-star team representing in Vail in 2003. School Programs that Coach Fox help lay the groundwork for include Hewes (boys & Girls), Pioneer (boys & girls), Currie (girls), Tustin (boys), Beckman, Foothill (boys & girls), Orange Lutheran, Crean Lutheran, & Concordia University. Club programs that Fox helped develop include OC Crush (boys & girls), OC Starz, Socal express (boys & Girls), FCA OC, West Coast Warriors, Alliance (girls). Leagues helped develop: OCLAX HS & Middle school/youth, CIF HS, So Cal HS Box Lacrosse League, and the TLJ CIF HS Senior all-star North South game 2022-current. Fox is especially proud that within just these past 4 years and current he has over a dozen former players as active head or assistant coaches at non FHS high schools in Orange County or involved as officials. Former FHS players have gone on to play at every level from MCLA college clubs to winning the NCAA Division 1 championship, and they’ve represented on the international world games teams to the MLL professional league. Fox was a charter member of the positive coaching alliance, currently serves on the CIF-SS lacrosse advisory board and remains active board member guiding the OCLAX rec league. He currently serves as Director of the Lacrosse Academy OC which specializes in local youth lacrosse player development.</image:caption>

<image:caption>HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE MARISSA HEWITT Marissa Hewitt was raised in CT and was first handed a lacrosse stick in the 4th grade by her PE teachers. She was hooked when she scored her very first game goal for the Eli Youth Lacrosse program - a behind the back shot! Marissa played as many sports as her parents would let her, but pursued soccer and lacrosse in high school. She went on to play lacrosse at Brown University where she studied Public Policy and where she met her husband, Dan Spring, on the first day of school. In 2005, Marissa and Dan packed their cars full of all their belongings and drove West until they hit the Pacific Ocean, and settled in Hermosa Beach. With no job lined up, and no connections, Marissa started her own tutoring business, Full-Service Academic Coaching & Tutoring (F.A.C.T) by handing out home made flyers at the local farmer’s market. She never dreamed that lacrosse would be a part of her life in California, since at that time, there was little lacrosse being played west of the Rockies… The very first tutoring client Marissa met came to the session with a lacrosse stick, which led to a very excited mother putting her in touch with the godmother of LA lacrosse, and LA Lacrosse Hall of Fame member, the one and only Joan Russell. Joan convinced Marissa to help the group of girls who started a lacrosse club at Palos Verdes High School, and she led the Sea Kings from the 2006 through the 2018 season. Over her career at PV, Marissa won over 120 games (who knows how many because no one was keeping stats in the early days!), multiple Bay League Championships, Coach of the Year Awards, and a two-time CIF-SS Runner Up. She brought teams annually to the Rose Bowl Tournament, and was one of only 10 teams at the very first year of Sand Storm. She was instrumental in lobbying CIF to add lacrosse as a varsity sport. In 2008 when the coaches decided it was time for a playoff, she spearheaded the organization of the girls bracket which she continued to organize until CIF took it over in 2020. Marissa created and led the girls CIF-SS HS coaches committee for many years. She worked with Renee Mack and Juliet Mittleman to get a Los Angeles regional team added to the Women’s Division National Tournament, and also coached those teams for the first two years. Additionally she served on the board of the LA Chapter of US Lacrosse, and later the LA Lacrosse Foundation. During her high school coaching days she remained committed to growing the youth game; in 2009 she co-founded the youth program Beach Head Lacrosse with Lane Jaffe. Marissa was a founding member of the Pacific Edge Lacrosse Association, the only all girls recreational lacrosse league that ,at its height, had girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade playing lacrosse each spring with teams from Santa Barbara to the Valley to Long Beach. In 2018, knowing she had a talented PV High team with 12 returning seniors all of whom were pursuing college lacrosse, and with a virtually guaranteed deep run into the playoffs, Marissa very reluctantly stepped away from PV Lacrosse to become the first Director of the newly formed Los Angeles chapter of the non-profit Harlem Lacrosse, and was able to work with hundreds of student athletes and families from South LA, Inglewood, and Compton. Her proudest moment was finding out that all 12 of HL-LA’s high school seniors were admitted to and received funding to attend and play lacrosse in college during the height of the COVID shutdowns. Marissa let Harlem Lacrosse in 2022 to be closer to her family and to help her husband run their youth sports business, Spring Training Sports. Since then, she has redoubled her efforts to grow the game and through volunteering at local elementary schools, teaching lacrosse units during PE periods, and countless clinics and events, Marissa has put sticks in more than 5,000 young people’s hands every year for the last three years. In 2026 Marissa formally returned to coaching Varsity HS at Peninsula. She also continues to run PV’s youth “little league of lacrosse” as well as both middle and high school training programs. Marissa’s dedication to ensuring the next generation of athletes fall in love with lacrosse has only increased since becoming a mother to Maddux and Sloane, and she continues to support the coaches and programs that are bringing quality programs to youth players. Focusing most of her time these days on opportunities that are geared toward entry level and developing players and areas, she takes tremendous pride and joy knowing that she is so many lacrosse players’ first coach..</image:caption>

<image:caption>HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE GW MIX As the current head coach of the Corona del Mar Sea Kings, Coach G.W. Mix brings more than 40 years of coaching and executive experience to the program. Throughout his career, he has coached at every level the sport has to offer and has recorded over 300 wins as a head coach. Mix has been a youth coach and director, high school coach, collegiate coach, Team USA staff member, and a coach and executive at the professional level. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Mix grew up with a stick in his hand, playing youth lacrosse for his father Warren Mix in the Liberty Road program. He went on to play attack and goalie at the Gilman School, where he helped lead the Greyhounds to the prestigious M.S.A. Championship in 1978. He played college lacrosse at the University of Pennsylvania, where he eventually spent nine years coaching at the NCAA Division I level. Coach Mix has been a part of the CDM program since 2007 and began serving as its head coach during the 2009-10 school year. The 2027 season will mark Coach Mix's eighteenth year as CDM's head coach and his 21st year of involvement in the lacrosse program. Prior to becoming the program's head coach in the fall of 2009, he served as a coaching consultant with the Sea Kings. All three of his sons played for the Sea Kings. Ryan graduated in 2010 and went on to play at Notre Dame. Casey played on the undefeated 2012 CIF Championship team, graduated in 2013, and played at UCSB. Kyle graduated in 2020 and played at Cal Poly SLO. Since he took over the program in 2010, the Sea Kings have appeared in all sixteen CIF Division I post-season playoff tournaments. His teams have won two Southern Section Championships (2012 & 2022) and two Southern Section Divisional Championships (2012 & 2016). They have made six appearances in the Southern Section Divisional Championship game (2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2022 and 2023) and thirteen trips to the semi-finals. His teams have compiled an overall record of 263-70, for an .790% winning percentage. Mix's 2012 Sea King team was the first in CIF lacrosse history to win the Southern Section championship with an undefeated record (24-0). Since 2009, Mix has coached 29 USA Lacrosse All-Americans and 24 USA Lacrosse Academic All-Americans. Perhaps more importantly for the program, over the past twelve years, Mix has been instrumental in assisting a number of CDM players in achieving their goal of playing NCAA collegiate lacrosse. Since 2009, thirty-one Sea Kings have gone on to play collegiate lacrosse in NCAA programs and four have played professionally. 2 In addition to his role as the school's head lacrosse coach, Mix is also the Student Advocate & Family Liaison at CDM. He works with students, faculty, families and administrators to seek sustainable solutions to the many challenges young people and their families face during their middle school and high school years. In a cooperative effort with the Corona del Mar Lacrosse Boosters, Coach Mix established the Surf Dawg youth program in 2004. The youth program was created to teach this new sport to kids in the community and eventually provide experienced lacrosse players to the newly formed CDM and Newport Harbor high school and middle school lacrosse club programs. Coach Mix and the Corona del Mar Lacrosse Boosters have remained true to that mission ever since - grow and support the lacrosse community at Corona del Mar and throughout the Newport Mesa School District. In 2014, Mix created the Pacific Coast Shootout, a major college lacrosse event that brings two of the top Division I programs to the West Coast each spring to play a regular-season game. Past participants include Cornell, Denver, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Virginia, and Yale. While residing in Southern California, Mix served as the president and general manager of Major League Lacrosse's LA Riptide, a professional outdoor lacrosse team that played three seasons (2006, 2007, and 2008) at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. Under his direction, the expansion franchise made it to the MLL's playoff "Final Four" twice in its three seasons (2007 and 2008). A former NCAA Collegiate National Coach of the Year (1988), Mix had his college teams (Penn and Franklin & Marshall) ranked consistently among the top twenty in the country, led teams to the NCAA tournament, and produced many Division I and Division III All-Americans. He was also part of the selection staff for Team USA's run for the gold in the 1994 World Championships. Some of Mix's former assistant coaches include Dave Pietramala (former head coach at Johns Hopkins) and All-Americans John McEvoy (Villanova), Bill Miller (Hobart and Team USA), Mike Pounds (Springfield), Peter Sheehan (UVA), and Tim O'Rourke (Navy). In 1990, he established Champ Camp, the nation's original and most prestigious high school lacrosse team recruiting showcase. Champ Camp was the precursor to the hundreds of recruiting showcases and tournaments that aspiring young players compete in today. He currently resides with his wife Mary in her hometown of Newport Beach, CA. Their oldest son Ryan played lacrosse at Notre Dame (2011-2014), middle son Casey at UCSB (2014 & 2017) and youngest son Kyle played at Cal Poly SLO (2021- 2022).</image:caption>
